For the 7th year in a row, the board of the IISE Sustainable Development Division has organized a volunteer service project with a local nonprofit prior to the start of the Annual Conference, held for the 2nd year in a row in Orlando. At Rise Against Hunger, the volunteers helped with cleaning dishes and preparing for future events.
At Habitat for Humanity Osceola, volunteers helped finish up the building of a new home with painting and installing blinds.
After volunteering was complete, each team presented some improvement ideas to the organizations to make the work more efficient or easier for future volunteers.
