National Renewable Energy Laboratory scientists examine nuances of solar energy systems

1 min read

Scientists at the US Department of Energy’s National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) in Golden, CO, aim to optimize the use of solar energy, and JMP® statistical discovery software from SAS helps them hit the mark.

National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) scientists use the scripting and data mining capabilities of JMP® to gauge the performance of solar energy systems.

The solar energy industry will move forward with a more comprehensive understanding of how to build and maintain its systems, and with data-based knowledge of the reliability of those systems. Using JMP, researchers are now generating in a matter of minutes reports that previously took a week or more to produce.
