Two staff employees of Denver’s East Parks district, started an effort to clean and organize the parks’ storage facilities. They set a course for a more ordered working environment that not only helped City staff be more efficient, yet also created a safer area for work to be done. By decreasing the amount of time that is spent looking for tools and by knowing the stock levels of inventory in real time, the East Parks district has been able to create a working environment where parks employees feel more empowered to effect positive change for the City. Their efforts have saved their department $162,342.92 in soft and hard dollars
