Improving a Florida County’s Inspection Process

Brevard County completed two Lean Six Sigma improvement projects focusing on inspection efficiencies. The goal was to make the process of home inspections as seamless as possible.
After working with the Lean Six Sigma group and making some changes with their processes they have had the following outcomes:
- Customers can schedule their own inspections and receive an immediate response instead of calling or emailing and waiting for a response.
- Exceeded 25 percent online inspection request goal
- One-third of inspection requests are made virtually with instant confirmation
