Orange Sky Laundry is a not-for-profit organization that provides a platform for every day Australians and New Zealanders to connect through a regular laundry and shower service, especially those who don’t have housing (homelessness) or are financially-constrained. The focus is on creating a safe, positive and supportive environment for people who are too often ignored or who feel disconnected from the community.
In 2019, at a Lean summit in Australia, more than 200 delegates participated in a Jishuken (autonomous study groups) type event, aimed at helping Orange Sky with their problems.
In this presentation at the 2021 Lean Global Connection, Nigel Dalton, Karllie Lucas and Mike Duggan discuss the impact of the event and how this not-for-profit has continued to serve their customers throughout the pandemic.
