Applying Lean Six Sigma to a Nonprofit Fundraiser Conference

As the President of a local nonprofit, Recycling Advocates, Brion Hurley was able to use his Lean and Six Sigma background to help raise money at a Zero Waste conference.

Through the use of Lean Six Sigma techniques, he was able to plan a successful event using FMEA concepts, use data to predict attendance and capacity for the event, and use Lean Startup methods to avoid wasting time planning an event.
