The Lean Summit Africa 2018 is the 9th Summit hosted by the Lean Institute Africa. The Summit brings local and international speakers together with lean practitioners from across Africa. Their collective experience of lean implementation is unparalleled in Africa.

Lean Summit Africa 2018 will take place at The Vineyard Hotel in Cape Town on 30th October, 31st October and 1st November 2018. The Summit theme is Transforming Organisations and Lives Through Purpose-Process-People and the keynote speakers are Furuhashi, International Lean Practitioner (Japan), Kim Barnas, CEO of Catalysis, Healthcare Improvement Centre (USA), and David Brunt, CEO of Lean Enterprise Academy (UK). Previous speakers have included Jim Womack, Dan Jones, John Shook, Mike Rother and Michael Ballé.

At the Summit, the latest lean thinking and practice in both the private and public sectors will be presented alongside case studies from across South Africa. The Summit aims to present lean management to those who are new to it, and inspire and motivate those already using lean management in their organisations.
